matt and molly's wedding

this weekend, we all traveled to little rock for "uncle" matt (jeff's cousin) and molly's wedding. matt asked jeff to be an usher, and molly asked emory to be her flower girl. our trip got off to a rough start with a little yakking in the car (before we'd even left dallas--nice), but we finally made it there.

on friday, em and i "helped" aunt rhonda and nana decorate for the reception and rehearsal dinner while jeff played golf with the guys. the rehearsal was great, but em was a little krazy. i began to doubt that she would make it down the aisle since she was FAR more interested in running the aisles. we lasted just a few minutes at the rehearsal dinner--at a GREAT little place just near the capitol. matt and molly were so sweet to give emory the little people wedding set as a flower girl favor. so sweet!

WEDDING DAY was here soon enough, and we headed to the church--which was beautifully decorated for christmas.

emory and cousin jackson played in the "get ready" room, ate a few snacks, and watched "elmo" on the computer.

once the flower girl and ring bearer were dressed, we waited in the lobby for our turn to take pictures. aunt melissa was SO smart and brought a bag of toys. ...and, emory met "thomas" for the first time!
cousin jackson was promised a "handy manny" tool IF he walked down the aisle, and em was promised a bottle of milk--whatever works!
daddy spent a LOT of the morning wrangling a wild emory. at one point, a sweet grandfather deemed her a "hot mess". yes, indeed. ;)
.....so, we took a stroll outside with her flower ball {aka purse}.
after picture time, jackson so sweetly fed emory some chips or "fips" as em would say!

sweet little emory was so exhausted after the wedding. i was SO, SO proud of her! she was such a trooper for making it through the day.... sweet little thing r-a-n down the aisle! daddy let her go at the top of the aisle and told her that mommy (at the bottom of the aisle) had milk...say no more--she was off!

after the wedding, we went to cousin jackson's new house. it's beautiful! after em and jackson took a bath, they put on their christmas pj's, read christmas stories, and played in the playroom. jackson was so sweet to share all of his toys with em.

we had a wonderful weekend. congrats matt and molly!
