our pretty awful (pretty, awful?) golden, riley, turned FOUR today, and yes, we celebrated his birthday. actually, we celebrate this day every year. you see, when we met with his breeder to choose him, we were able to choose between two boys--one she described as a "couch potato" and the other was "more spirited". we oh-so-naively chose the "spirited" one. and, thus, we celebrate our stupidity and his good fortune.
riley used to get one cupcake per year in age, but 4 cupcakes is just plain ridiculous. so, i iced his with a "4" instead. because that is not ridiculous.
and his "birthday party" lasted that long. ....oh, you missed it? so did we. one second emory was giving him a birthday hug, and the next the cupcake disappeared. it's a little bit of birthday magic.
he so kindly supervised emory enjoying the birthday treats and even offered to clean up.
and emory got to enjoy some new bath paints in the tub afterwards. thanks aunt nenny and uncle kywa!
